Douglas M. Rossi, age 82, of Mt. Iron, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2017 with his wife by his side.
A lifetime educator who spent 37 years as a teacher, principal, and superintendent in Osseo, Pine Island, Little Falls, and Brooklyn Center, beginning and ending his career in Brooklyn Center Public Schools.
Preceded in death by his parents, Al & Bunny Rossi.
Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Joyce; children, Cyndi (John) Berglund, Scott (Cheryl) Rossi, Dolan (Katy) Rossi, and Gina (Brad) Hoffarth; grandchildren, Rachelle (Scott), Tyler, Doug (Nicole), Justin (Cassie), Amber (Zach), Erika (Marty), Joe, Taylor, Riley, Alexa, Karlee, Camryn, Larissa, and Bria; great grandchildren, Solana, Beckett, Ethan, and Delilah; and many relatives and friends.
Celebration of Doug’s Life 11 AM Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Lutheran Church of the Master, 1200 69th Ave. N., Brooklyn Center. Visitation 10-11 AM Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Centaur Foundation (Brooklyn Center School Dist. 268) or the Grossman Center for Alzheimer’s Research (University of MN).
