Obituary for Alberta Marie Ruf

Age 94, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2019 in Brooklyn Center, MN. Alberta was blessed with a gentle soul and a grace that endeared her to everyone she met. Alberta’s laugh and humor would light up any room. A devoted Catholic, her faith and service to the church was inspirational. Alberta is in heaven now, guiding her family as she did when she was here on earth. She was born on January 31, 1925 in Indianapolis, IN. Alberta spent much of her life raising her family in Brooklyn Center, MN and, later in life, enjoyed many years living in their home in Port Charlotte, FL. She was a loving wife to her husband, Clarence (C.J.) Ruf, for 66 years; a caring mother to her four children, daughter-in-law, and son-in-law; awesome grandmother to her four grandchildren; and great-grandmother to two great-grandsons. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 7025 Halifax Ave. N., Brooklyn Center, MN with visitation one hour prior to Mass. A special thanks to all who lovingly cared for Alberta at the Maranatha Long Term Care Center in Brooklyn Center and Optage Hospice. If you so wish, memorials may be made to the Catholic charity of your choice.

I just can't say enough about the help we received in planning my husband's funeral at the Osseo Evans Nordby funeral home. It was a very difficult time and they were so caring, sensitive, helpful and very organized in making the funeral go smoothly. The funeral home in Osseo felt so welcoming and comfortable also. Tina was extremely helpful in guiding our family with planning the funeral and went out of her way in finding the right memorial folder for my husband. I would highly recommend them. Thank you all.
