Alonzo “Lon” Roy Moses, age 71, of Maple Grove, MN passed away at Abbott hospital surrounded by family Thursday, October 20th.
Lon grew up on a dairy farm with his parents and four siblings and had a full life. Lon served in the US Army for 4 years and went on to get married, raise his two children, and retire from the US Post Office after 32 years. He enjoyed telling jokes to everyone, walking around his neighborhood socializing with those he met, and wearing black t-shirts and jeans. Lon loved cats (but wouldn’t admit it), The Simpsons, The Rolling Stones, taking pictures at family get togethers, visiting the lake cabin in Richmond and his ’57 Chevy collection. He will be remembered as a thoughtful and caring father, brother, and friend.
Lon is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Doris Moses; brother Don; and sister Peggy. He is survived by his children, Luke (Tina) and Kaye; former spouse JoAnne; sisters, Betty (John) and Liane (Bob); and many friends and extended family members.
Memorial Service 7 PM Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd St. NE, Osseo, with a visitation from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to your favorite charity in Lon’s name are preferred.

I just can't say enough about the help we received in planning my husband's funeral at the Osseo Evans Nordby funeral home. It was a very difficult time and they were so caring, sensitive, helpful and very organized in making the funeral go smoothly. The funeral home in Osseo felt so welcoming and comfortable also.
