Obituary for Angelyn Henry

Angelyn "Angie" "Angel" Henry, was born on March 4, 1948 to Joseph and Florence Mottl of Pine City, MN. She was baptized at Immaculate Conception Church on March 21, 1948, had her First Communion on June 26, 1955, and was confirmed in 1962. Angelyn was married to Ronald Henry on November 18, 1967.

Angie enjoyed giving time to the community and the school children, serving as a room mother, 1st Communion teacher, Girl Scout leader, and greeter at church. Angie was thankful to the Lord for giving her the talent and love of sewing and crafting which started in grade school. She nourished and treasured her lifelong friends, including former classmates, the quilters club and home extension. Along the way she collected fair ribbons at the Rogers' and State Fairs. She loved teaching and passing along her knowledge and skills. Her memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of countless friends and loved ones.

Survived by daughter Christine Moore (Ted); grandchildren; Marissa Lange, Bryan Lange, Connor Lange and Cassie Moore; sisters & brothers Linda Bollinger, Dan Mottl (Paula), Harry Mottl (Sharon), Therese Verdeja (Pete) and Mary Ann Mottl; sister-in-law Jan Johnson (Dave); many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and 10 foster children.

Preceded in death by her son, Jason on July 12, 1981; husband, Ronald Henry; and her parents, Joseph and Florence Mottl.

Visitation 4-6 PM Monday, November 27, 2023, at Evans-Nordby, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center. Mass at 11 AM Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 7025 Halifax Ave. N., Brooklyn Center, with a visitation 1 hour prior to mass at church. Following mass, a private interment will take place.

Memorials preferred to the MS Society.
