Obituary for Barbara J. Mortenson

Barbara (Scott) Mortenson, age 65, went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2019 at Methodist hospital in St. Louis Park, MN. She was born on March 19, 1954, in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Robert and Betty Scott. She was a graduate of Southwest High School, class of 1972. She married the love of her life, Jerry Mortenson on April 24, 1976. They had two children, McKay and Grethe. Barb raised her children at home, while working part time in customer service and administrative assistant roles. Barb enjoyed sewing, quilting, singing in choir, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Jerry; a brother, Steven; children McKay (Kristen) Mortenson, Grethe Jennings; grandchildren Olivia, Hayden, Avery, William, Adler, Ethan, and Serena; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Proceeded in death by her parents Robert and Betty Scott, and brother David Scott.

A Memorial service will be held on June 4, 2019 at 6pm at Advent Lutheran Church, 9475 Jefferson Hwy, Maple Grove.
