Obituary for Barry Anderson

Barry Anderson, age 59 of Osseo, MN, passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2023.

Preceded in death by his father, Rudy Anderson and father-in-law, Peter Phenow.

Survived by his wife of 33 years, Lisa (Phenow); mother, Inez Anderson; children, Travis (Ashley), Sam (Zach), Emily (Shane), and Zach; grandson, Maverick; sisters, Karla and Tammy; along with numerous other loving family members.

Barry grew up in Brooklyn Park, MN and graduated from Osseo High School in 1982. He was a proud member of the Osseo Fire Department serving for 18 years but continued to serve on the Osseo Relief Association until his passing. Barry also was a member of the Osseo Lions Club. He loved to spend time with his family, play cards and bowl with his wife, go deer hunting, and watch his kids play the sports they love. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

A visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 4-7pm at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd St. NE, Osseo, and 1 hour prior to mass at church. A funeral mass will be held Friday, September 8, 2023, at 10 am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 9100 93rd Ave. N., Brooklyn Park, followed by a luncheon.
