Chester F. "Chet" Janasz, age 86, of Brooklyn Park, passed away January 13, 2023.
Preceded in death by parents, Frank S. Janasz and Ann C. Janasz and by sister, Jeri Hansen (Ken).
Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marcia and their two sons, Joe (Brigitte) and Jeff (Barbara). Chet had 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He attended Vocational High School and Gustavus Adolphus College, where he was a good enough football player to be given the nickname “Baby Face Assassin.” Chet was a high school teacher and football coach at New Prague for five years, and with Minneapolis Public High Schools for 35 years.
Visitation at 11AM and Celebration Of Life at 12 Noon Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Cross of Glory Church, 5929 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, with reception to follow.
