Obituary for Chloe Lynne Tegland

Age 13, of Maple Grove, passed away at home surrounded by her mom, dad and her dog Baxter.

Chloe is survived by her parents, Andy & Joelle; and many more who loved her dearly.

Chloe was a talented artist and musician. She tried all media, but especially loved sketching, painting, crocheting and sculpting clay dragons. She played cello and piano, acted in various theatre productions and was a member of the District 279 Children's Chorus. Chloe loved animals and all creatures with a passion. She dreamed of being a veterinarian. She was an A-honor roll student and a member of her elementary school's student council and newspaper club. She took classes at Rum River Art Center and participated in their annual art fair, showcasing her clay dragons, winning the People's Choice Award for best booth. She played soccer and enjoyed snowboarding with her dad and shopping and crafting with her mom. She was smart, kind, empathetic, brave, determined and as creative and thoughtful as a person could be.

Our son recently passed away and of course you never expect to have to deal with this for your children so my wife and I were not only devastated but didn’t know what to do or where to turn next. Evans-Nordby was recommended to us by our Priest and I’m so glad he did. From the moment I talked to Tina on the phone I could tell we were in good hands as she took care of every detail. We met with her the next day and she went through all the aspects of what we were to expect in the coming days, weeks, then months ahead. Every employee we had contact with at Evans-Nordby was kind, compassionate and extremely professional. Thanks Tina and to all at Evans-Nordby for making an unbearable experience at least tolerable.
