Clyde Walter Sowl, 85, of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, passed away September 12, 2020.
Preceded in death by parents, Walter and Ethel Sowl; and brothers, Leroy and Stanley.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary and three children, Sandra (Michael) Fredrick, David Sowl, and Renee (Edward) Hammes. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Neal and Ryan Fredrick and Grace Hammes and many nieces and nephews.
Clyde served in the Marines as a young man and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Tireless and hardworking, he was both a highly skilled mechanic and craftsman. Clyde enjoyed the outdoors, camping, family and a good cup of coffee. Clyde, along with his quiet smile and sense of humor, will be greatly missed.
Private services will be held on October 7, 2020 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
These people are wonderful. They went over and above in every possible way to help us with funeral arrangements, the visitation, service and burial, despite the fact that we had a limited budget.
