Darlene Virginia (Samuelson) Fosse, age 90, originally of Henning, MN, passed away February 26, 2023. She was a graduate of Henning High School in 1950 and the Minnesota School of Business in 1952. She earned a National Secretary Association certification while employed at Honeywell. She started there as a stenographer and retired as Accounts Payable Supervisor 1989.
In 1952, Darlene married Raymond Fosse and in 1955 they had one daughter, Dawn.
Darlene enjoyed traveling through the US, Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed cooking, going to the lake, reading and being with friends and relatives. She spent winters in Texas for 10 years after the death of her husband. She had a fabulous retirement in Texas. Due to health issues, she moved in permanently with her daughter and son-in-law, Chuck, in Brooklyn Park and Rogers, MN.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ray; and her parents, Oliver, and Mildred Samuelson. Darlene is survived by daughter, Dawn and her “favorite” son-in-law, Chuck Reimer; 2 grandsons and their wives, Blake (Bria) and Cody (Amanda); 5 great-grandchildren, Addy, Ronen, Oriana, Anders, and Oberon; and brother, Rod (Dianna).
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Monday 3/6 at Lutheran Church of the Master, 1200 - 69th Avenue North, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM at the church prior to the service. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Darlene asked that in lieu of flowers, friends and family make memorial contributions to Lutheran Church of the Master. The pastors and members have been so kind and helpful to her and her family over the years. These people are wonderful. They went over and above in every possible way to help us with funeral arrangements, the visitation, service and burial, despite the fact that we had a limited budget.
