Born March 15th, 1934 on the family farm in Wheaton MN. He grew up farming in the Wheaton, Browns Valley area. Even though he lived in Brooklyn Center for most of his life, the farm never left him.

After completing his service he moved to Minneapolis and married Vandean (née Bladow) in 1962 and they made their home in Brooklyn Center, MN.
He went to work for Minnegasco in 1967 and retired after 30 years of employment. He spent his retirement years happily volunteering, camping, fishing, attending tractor shows, having coffee with his fellow co-workers, and spending time with his family and many friends.
He was a devoted member of LCM for many years and spent many happy hours volunteering there.

I highly recommend the team at Evans Nordby. This past weekend, they assisted as we buried my mom. Twelve years ago, they assisted as we buried my dad. Brittney and the staff are so comforting, easy to work with and compassionate. They make every decision simple, and the whole process as painless as possible. I am so happy that we chose this funeral home, and encourage you to consider using them in your time of need.
