Caswell, Dona B.
Age 97, of Maple Grove, MN passed away peacefully on September 21, 2019 after a brief illness. She was born in Rochester, MN on May 3, 1922 where she attended elementary school, high school & a year of college. On December 31, 1941 Dona eloped with and married Keith Caswell in Minneapolis. They lived most of their 74-year marriage in Minneapolis, Golden Valley & Maple Grove, MN; and wintered in Sun City West, AZ for many years. She was very active in her church & community; and was instrumental in building the Phoenix Residence in St. Paul for handicapped adults. She & Keith were long-time patrons of the Guthrie Theater, MN Orchestra & other arts organizations. They traveled extensively throughout their marriage & always enjoyed a new adventure. Dona loved to read, and her book club friends. She was an excellent cook & hostess. She enjoyed walking, hiking, camping, gardening, golf, bowling & spending time with her family & friends. Preceded in death by husband, Keith; son, Kent; infant daughter, Suzanne. Survived by sons, Chad of Ellenwood, GA & Lynn (Signe) of Elk River; grandchildren Cheryl (Peter) Boston, Craig (Shirlleisa) Caswell, Sonja (Ross) Bearson, John (Jenni) Caswell, Victoria Caswell; great-grandchildren, Phoenix Brown, Jonah, Micah & Noah Caswell. Celebration of Life at Maple Grove Lutheran Church, 9251 Elm Creek Blvd. N., 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 28, 2019 with visitation one-hour prior. Final resting place will be St. Fridolin Cemetery, Champlin, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to: Maple Grove Lutheran Church or AccessAbility, Inc.

I just can't say enough about the help we received in planning my husband's funeral at the Osseo Evans Nordby funeral home. It was a very difficult time and they were so caring, sensitive, helpful and very organized in making the funeral go smoothly. The funeral home in Osseo felt so welcoming and comfortable also. Tina was extremely helpful in guiding our family with planning the funeral and went out of her way in finding the right memorial folder for my husband. I would highly recommend them. Thank you all.
