Duane W. Bennett, age 83 of Brooklyn Park, passed peacefully on October 18, 2024. Born in Minneapolis, MN. He spent most of his life along with his wife Diane, living and raising their family in Brooklyn Park. Duane is a 1959 graduate of Patrick Henry. During Duane’s career, he worked as a litho artist, various sales positions and public transportation, retiring from MTC in 2011.
Duane and Diane were married for 56 years until her passing in 2019.
He is survived by their children, Kelly (Dewy), Todd, Scott (Amy); grandchildren, Matthew (Tawny), Lauren and Calvin; great-grandchildren, Gemini (Zach) and Trey; great great-grandchild Reggie; siblings Walt and Peggy; and many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Duane’s Life will be held at Noon Saturday, November 9, 2024 with an opportunity to share a memory during the service. Visitation will begin one hour prior at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd St. NE, Osseo, MN 5536. A luncheon will follow at the Osseo-Maple Grove American Legion, 260 4th Ave SE, Osseo, MN 55369.
In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family encourages you to make a donation to the Animal Humane Society.
