Obituary for Edwin Dramstad

Edwin Elmer Dramstad

1/22/1925-6/24/2022

Born and raised in the Sutton, North Dakota area. He served in the Marines for 3 years. He then attended Wahpeton Science studying Heating and Air Conditioning. He worked in that field until 1973 when the couple moved to Dubuque, Iowa and he began his teaching career. He taught Heating and Air Conditioning until he retired. Moving back to Barnesville, he pursued his passion of making beautiful furniture. Ed continued his woodworking despite losing most of his sight to Macular degeneration shortly after moving to Osseo, MN in 2003. Ed passed away 6/24/2022 at the age of 97.

The service will be a celebration of life for a couple that loved each other more each day and were wonderful example to their children, grandchildren and anyone who knew them.

Due to COVID we were unable to celebrate Sylvia’s passing. It was Ed’s wish that they be celebrated together. The couple was married almost 68 years.

Celebration of life and funeral at Eternal Hope Lutheran Church, 10508 Douglas Drive N., Brooklyn Park, MN, at 2pm July 5, 2022, with visitation beginning at 12:30 pm at the church before the service.

Very special thanks to Brighton Hospice and Arbor Lakes Senior Living.

Memorials can be sent to Brighton Hospice.

I just can't say enough about the help we received in planning my husband's funeral at the Osseo Evans Nordby funeral home. It was a very difficult time and they were so caring, sensitive, helpful and very organized in making the funeral go smoothly. The funeral home in Osseo felt so welcoming and comfortable also. Tina was extremely helpful in guiding our family with planning the funeral and went out of her way in finding the right memorial folder for my husband. I would highly recommend them. Thank you all.
