On April 24th, 2023 Gail Marie (L’Amie) Perkins of Maple Grove, MN passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Gail was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and dear friend to many. She was a very loving person who easily made friends enriching the lives of many and everyone felt better having had the chance to have known her.
Gail was born in Grand Rapids, MN on March 21, 1942 and grew up in Marble, MN. Gail graduated from Greenway High School, Coleraine, MN in 1960 continuing on to earn a LPN degree and ultimately a RN degree from Hennepin County Technical College, MN. Gail enjoyed an extensive nursing career in a variety of roles touching many lives in the process.
Some of Gail’s favorite things to do were spending time with family, traveling, enjoying good food and tending to the plants and flowers in her yard. She took pride in her growing family and placed great importance on creating special moments with each and every member at every opportunity.
Preceded in death by her Parents Earl and Evelyn L’Amie and Grandma Bush.
Survived by her Brother Ronald (Deborah) L’Amie of Grand Rapids, MN; Sons Jeff (Cindi) Perkins of Champlin, MN, Jon (Mary Beth) Perkins of Brooklyn Park, MN, Jim Perkins and Jesse Manzanares of Westminster, CO; nine Grandchildren LaChele (Jamie) Roberson, Jena Revering, Ben (Courtney) Revering, Nicole Moog, Alexandra Desenclos, Molly (Kasey) Naumann, Janie (Alex) Angell, Annie (Sean) Surbaugh, Emma Perkins; nine Great-Grandchildren Zachary Roberson, Nicholas Roberson, Madison Sandvig, Joseph Revering, Adaline Revering, Harrison Logan, Harper Naumann, Hayden Naumann and Baby Naumann expected in June; two Nephews, one Niece, two Grand-Nephews and three Grand-Nieces.
Visitation at 9:30 AM and Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 9100 93rd Ave. N., Brooklyn Park, MN.
Interment will be Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MN.
