Obituary for Gary F. Ahrens

Gary F. Ahrens, age 73 of Osseo, passed away on October 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by parents, Harold and Marie (Kurtz); and sister, Carol Bjork.

Gary co-owned and co-operated Ahrens Greenhouse for decades, he had a passion for horticulture and was dedicated to the business. Gary had a love for motor sports, and cherished the time spent snowmobiling, riding ATVs, boating, and jet skiing with family and friends. He also had a passion for classic cars and enjoyed attending car shows.

Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Faye; his daughters, Amy (Zach) Buehne, Anna (Nick) Erickson; his siblings, Donald (Sharon), Harvey (Ruby), Shirley (Tony) Ellingson, LeRoy (Janine), Beverly Lundgren, and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Saturday, November 16, 2024, with visitation 9:30 - 11 am, St. Stephens Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St., Anoka. Luncheon to follow. Interment, 2pm, St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023.
