Obituary for Harold Eugene Johnson

Harold Eugene Johnson of Osseo, age 86, passed away surrounded by family at home on July 25, 2023.Harold was born on August 1, 1936 in Primrose, Nebraska to Orville and Antonia Johnson. He spent most of his childhood in Cedar Rapids, Spalding and Petersburg. After college, in 1958, he and his good friend Vic Giere formed the accounting firm Johnson Giere, based in Osseo. Years later, he married Gayle in 1977. Many summers were spent at their lake home on Norway Lake, near New London, MN. They also travelled extensively, visiting all the US states, much of Canada, Norway, Germany and the British Isles. Harold will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his desire to build community and his love for his family.

Harold is survived by his Brother, Gary Johnson; Children, David (Sarah) Kise, LaVonne (Keith) Vanderpoel, Lori Roehl; Daughter-in-Law, Nancy Kise; Grandchildren, John (Kayla) Kise, Carrie (Jamshid) Fehresti-Kise, Sondra Roehl, Noah Kise and Ben Kise; Great Grandchildren, Cayden, Ava and Emma; Nieces, Wendy (Joe) Graves, Sonya (Mark) Wacek, and Wendy Amberg; Nephews, Cole (Molly) Foss and Joe Foss. Preceded in death by loving wife, Gayle B Johnson; Parents, Orville and Antonia Johnson; Brother-in-Law Larry Foss; Son, Darryl Kise; and Grandson Matthew Kise.

Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Harold are invited to a Celebration of Life on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 11 AM, at Advent Lutheran Church, 9475 Jefferson Highway., Maple Grove, MN 55369.The Reviewal will be held at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2^nd St. NE, Osseo 55369 on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 4-8 PM and 1 hour prior to the service at church.
