Obituary for Irene Skogmo

Irene M. (Klenzman) Skogman, age 95, of Plymouth, formerly of Maple Grove and Minnetonka, passed away May 20, 2021.

Preceded in death by parents, John and Minnie Klenzman; husband, Arthur; brothers, Orrin and Donald Klenzman; and sister, Betty Dobbelmann.

Survived by nephews, Robert, Brenner, and Kurtis Klenzman; niece, Deborah Klenzman Carlson; great nieces, Katelyn and Lexi Klenzman; great nephews, Andy and Jon Klenzman.

Born in rural Brookfield Township near Hector, MN on October 20, 1925, Irene was a person truly interested in and concerned about people. She always had time to listen to their story and she will be missed by all of us who knew her. Irene had many experiences in her long life, many pastimes and hobbies, from dance to travel; many occupations from school teacher to medical lab technician to being a manager for Hennepin County. Whatever she did she did with 100% commitment and enthusiasm. Irene may have been 95 when she passed but her spirit is forever young.

Funeral service was Wednesday, May 26, at 2:00 with visitation 1 hour prior at Advent Lutheran Church, 9475 Jefferson Hwy, Maple Grove, MN 55369.

Graveside service 3 PM Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Hector Cemetery, Hector, MN.
