Obituary for Jacqueline Marie (Née Meehl) Reiersen

Jacqueline “Jacquie” Marie Meehl Reiersen

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our amazing mother, grandmother, wife, and sister, Jacqueline Reiersen, who left us on the evening of December 30th, 2024 at the age of 69 due to breast cancer.

Jacquie was born on August 6th, 1955 in Minneapolis, MN. She was the youngest of six and daughter to Robert and Dellrose Meehl. Growing up in Minneapolis she enjoyed softball leagues, golf and traveling with the many friends she made. No matter the time or distance between them as years went on she loved them very deeply.

She’s always been someone in the family that takes great care of others. Putting them first. Her careers in life have always led her to being a caretaker one way or another. First graduating from cosmetology in Minneapolis in 1974 working at various salons in Daytons and Downtown. We always grew up with free haircare. Later, after moving to Wisconsin, she got into nursing, helping care for the elderly, which she would later use in life helping care for her own mother in her final years. Taking over the puzzle business with her husband Randy, and moving back to Minnesota to be closer to family, would be the career that helped her stay home with her children the most; Michael and Lyndsay.

As a mother, her kids were her entire world. Always supporting them in their various activities; football, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, marching band, ect. Never missing the opportunity to be there and enjoy or watch what they accomplished. Sometimes even as the coach. As a grandmother, she always strived to talk and laugh with them, sharing her stories of life and cookie recipes of course. Her selfless spirit showed everyday in how she always met others needs before her own.

Jacquie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert and Dellrose Meehl and her sister Mary Satherlie. She is survived by her husband Randy and daughter Lyndsay. Her son Michael, his wife Megan and their children Everly and Finn. Her sisters Jeanne and Geri. Her brothers Bob and Rich. Her sister-in-law Laureen, her brothers-in-law John and Herb. And many, many nieces and nephews who loved her.

Jacquie will always be remembered for her caring spirit, kind heart, and sheer stubborn determination in life. As she said, “it’s not goodbye.” We will see her again one day.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held in May where family, friends, and community are invited to gather and honor her life and memory and share our love for her. At this time the exact date is not known but updates will be posted here.
