Janet L. Cariveau (Heath), age 80, of Maple Grove, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023, surrounded by many of her family members. She is survived by her husband Dean Cariveau, daughters Wendy Sanders and Cathy Patton, stepchildren Mike Cariveau (Wendy), Pamela Cariveau (Rob) and Elli Rader (Mark), grandchildren Annalisa Bermel (Cody), Terry Clyke, Kristen Clyke, Samantha Patton, Stephanie Patton, Owen Rader, Iris Rader, and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Rhoda Heath (Trotman) and Robert Heath. She is remembered fondly by everyone she met during her life for her beautiful smile and servant’s heart.
Jan actively gave back to the community throughout her life. Her biggest contributions were to the Girl Scouts, volunteering at Earle Brown Elementary School and other school district events, and then the Maple Grove Lions Club for the last 36 years. Her contributions to the Lions organization are too numerous to list but her crowning achievement was being elected District Governor in 2011.
She was never too busy to provide guidance, help to plan a fundraising event or volunteer anyplace there was a need. One of her favorite organizations was the Minnesota Lions Vision Foundation for which she performed vision screening for children at various Lions events. She was accomplished at knitting and crocheting and was generous with her beautiful creations and teaching these skills to others.
She loved to travel, and members of her family were fortunate to be able to travel with her over the years on many cruises, a trip to Europe, Australia, Alaska, and many other destinations. She was a tireless sightseer and could be counted on to take many photos - especially if she saw a flower garden or an animal!

It is a place of compassion, sincerity, professionalism, and staff who go above and beyond their call of duty. Our family has sadly used both chapels over the past months. The caring did not stop after the services. They offer their continued compassion to adults and children. With grateful hearts thank you.
