Jari Lynn Norris, 65, passed away unexpectedly in her Champlin home with her husband David "Chip" Norris at her side on November 2, 2021.
Born October 10, 1956 as Jari Peterson in Minneapolis, MN, Jari was a much-beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, cousin, aunt, and niece. She graduated from Fridley High School and later got a degree from Minnesota School of Business.
Jari raised two amazing and beautiful daughters, Jennifer and Angela, with the three of them forming the strongest and most amazing bond of love which never ended as a part of their daily lives. Jari oftentimes worked three or more jobs in her early days while building a very successful 32 year career in Wells Fargo's corporate banking group. She received the top honor while in that role, The Golden Spoke, and treated her husband Chip to a week at the Four Seasons in Maui, HI in celebration. Jari fully retired in 2017 and has enjoyed family, friends, travel in abundance, hiking, biking, cross country skiing, road trips with her dear friend Shirley, Pilates, and, oh, how she loved her slot machines.
Jari was a loving and generous caregiver at heart, always at the center of making sure everyone around her was happy, giving little regard to her own self.
Jari was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Peterson and is survived by husband, David "Chip" Norris; daughters, Jennifer Gulbrandson (Eric) and Angela Ozguzel (Erman); father, James Peterson; grandson, Ethan Gulbrandson; granddaughter, Emma Gulbrandson; grandson, Evren Ozguzel; sister, Cathy Umen; brother, Mike Peterson; brother, Robert Peterson; many cousins, nieces, and nephews, loving friends, and her special "soul sister", Shirley Glines, who has been an important part of Jari's family since childhood.

These people are wonderful. They went over and above in every possible way to help us with funeral arrangements, the visitation, service and burial, despite the fact that we had a limited budget. They were patient, kind, and treated us like family. This is a funeral home you can trust. Thank you, Evans-Nordby.
