Joanne Laura Kiffmeyer, age77, of Brooklyn Park passed away peacefully on August 26th 2022 at home with family by her side.
Joanne was born on July 19th 1945 (in Benson, MN) to Odell and Bernice Goulet. She married her HS sweetheart, Kenneth Kiffmeyer on August 29th 1962 and was only 3 days away from celebrating 60 wonderful years of marriage.
Joanne enjoyed time at their lake home fishing, boating and family gatherings. She also enjoyed sewing, playing cards and cribbage, sudoku puzzles, family trips, and photography, (especially of birds and flowers!). Joanne loved spending time watching her grandchildren and their events and welcoming new great-grandchildren. She was so caring and loving!
Joanne is survived by her loving husband Ken; and their three daughters, Brenda (Paul) Ackerman of Clear Lake, Jaqueline (Gregg) Johnson of Maple Grove, Sherry (John) Meyer of Becker; grandchildren, Kayla (Ron) Cummings, Kimberly (Andrew) Stearns, Wendy (Joshua) Thorson, Stephanie (Reed) Hudson, Morgan (Nick) Radunz, Kenny Meyer, and Emily Meyer; great-grandchildren, Bryce & Riley Cummings, Kade & Roman Stearns, Audrey & Marla Thorson, Hadley & Palmer Hudson, and Beckett Radunz; and many siblings and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Rhonda; her parents; and her brother Timothy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31st from 4-8PM at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd St. NE, Osseo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Thursday, September 1st at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9100 93rd Ave N, Brooklyn Park, with visitation one hour before mass. A lunch will be served immediately after. Internment of her ashes will be a private ceremony at a later date.
