Joseph passed away on November 27, 2020 at Methodist Hospital in St Louis Park, MN of natural causes. Joseph was the son of Joseph George Dobesh Sr. and Bozena (Bessie) Barton Dobesh. He was born August 9, 1926. He died at the age of 94. Joseph is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty), Lucille Crandell Dobesh, his daughter Linda Mae Dobesh Bartz, son-in-law James, grandson Samuel. His son Joseph George Dobesh III, grandsons William, Christopher, Jeremiah and Benjamin Dobesh. His brother Fred Dobesh and his wife Gloria. Sister-in-law Alyce Jane Crandell Johnston, plus many nieces and nephews.

Joseph grew up on a farm outside Denham MN, during the depression and at the age of 17 he joined the Navy during the WWII Pacific. He was very proud of his service. He returned to Minneapolis where he attended Augsburg college. He met Elizabeth at a dance and they were married on Sept. 5, 1953. Settling in Brooklyn Center, MN where they raised their two children. Retiring from the US Dept. of Agriculture.

He enjoyed gardening, dancing to old time polka and hosting parties. Joseph loved the outdoors and would take his family camping. He loved fishing. He also loved traveling the US and took four trips to Europe: Czech Republic, Germany to visited family.

Joseph will be buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis with full honors. The review is at 11:00 and Services at 12:00 on December 9, 2020 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home in Brooklyn Ctr. MN.
