Judith T. Elsenpeter
It is with deep sorrow and love we announce the passing of Judith "Judi" T. Elsenpeter, age 81, of Brooklyn Park, MN, who left this world early Monday morning in Mesa, AZ, surrounded by her family. She was a beautiful, selfless giver whose kindness touched everyone she met. Her infectious laugh could brighten even the darkest days, and her unwavering strength and compassion made her a pillar of support for her family and friends.
Born in Devils Lake, ND on July 4th, 1943, Judi dedicated her life to family and friends. She met the love of her life, Walter "Pete" Elsenpeter, in Minneapolis, MN, and were happily married on September 21, 1963. After spending several years raising two beloved children, Judi returned to the workforce where she found fulfillment working for Paul Julin & Company in Brooklyn Park, MN.
Judi had a passion for sports and an active lifestyle, enjoying volleyball, tennis, and pickleball while enthusiastically cheering on the MN Timberwolves and Lynx. She and Pete cherished their winters in Mesa, AZ, embracing the sunshine and warmth away from the northern snow. Above all, Judi treasured her children and grandchildren, always putting others before herself and offering love
without limits.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Walter "Pete" Elsenpeter, daughter, Lori Collette of Ashburn, VA; son, Wade Elsenpeter and Jessie Brunotte of Andover, MN; brother, Bryan "BJ" Erickson of Glasgow, MT; and her cherished grandchildren, Kiley, Zachary, Cadence, and Austin, who will forever carry her love and lessons in their hearts. She is reunited in peace with her parents, Elai and Bernice Erickson; sister, Rheta Olafson; brother, Elai Erickson Jr.; and son-in-law Daryl Collette.
A celebration of Judi's life will be held at a later date in Minneapolis, MN. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to National Kidney Foundation or American Diabetes Association, two organizations close to their hearts.
Judi's love, laughter, and generosity will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.
