Obituary for Judy Lee (Curtis) Ashton

Judy Lee (Curtis) Ashton, was born on May 6, 1955, in Crystal, Minnesota, to Hilda and Archie Curtis, eventually one of seven children. She enjoyed growing up with a zillion cousins, especially trips to the lake visiting grandparents and aunts and uncles. She eventually married and Anthony was born, the love of her life. Every beat of her heart was for Anthony. For the last nine years Judy has worked at St. Therese Nursing home, caring for the residents there and generously sharing all her stories with them. Judy loved everyone and wanted to take care of them. She wanted to make everyone's life better. Calls, text messages, prayers and gifts were her way of taking care of people. She always had a way of reminding people of how family and friends were most important in her life.

At 5:06 pm on 04/08/2020 heaven gained the most beautiful angel. The sweetest woman you’ve ever met passed at home from cancer surrounded by loved ones. Everyone will miss her calls and love. Survived by her son, Anthony Ashton; step children, Margret, Nina and David; brothers, Steve Curtis (Colleen), Richard Curtis, Scott Curtis (Jodi) and Mark Curtis (Tonya) and sister, Barbara Ruud; many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Preceded in death by parents, Archie and Hilda Curtis and sister, Linda Curtis. She kept in touch with all of them.

Because of the COVID19 we will be having a private service. A Celebration of Judy's Life will be announced later when gathering restrictions have been removed. Please check back at the website www.evansnordby.com for details.

A special note from her son, Anthony: I love you Forevermore, Momma. I will always think about you. You wanted to take care of everyone and you were always nice unless someone made you mad lol!!!! I love you and say hi to grandma and grandpa for me R.I.P.

I highly recommend the team at Evans Nordby. This past weekend, they assisted as we buried my mom. Twelve years ago, they assisted as we buried my dad. Brittney and the staff are so comforting, easy to work with and compassionate. They make every decision simple, and the whole process as painless as possible. I am so happy that we chose this funeral home, and encourage you to consider using them in your time of need.
