Age 69, of Minnetonka passed away peacefully on December 13, 2021.
Julie is survived by her children, Jodi (Eric) Kloss, Jerome (Ashley) Schmidt, Jonna Riggins (Joseph Rosen), and Jonika Riggins (Martice Hollie); grandchildren, Lexis, Devin, Carson, Camren, Nolan, Taylor, Martice Jr., and Brynlee due in March; sisters, Patricia Kleve and Janis Engebretsen; aunt, Ann (David) Hamann; as well as nephews, nieces, other family members & friends.
Preceded in death by parents, Denton & Barbara Mork.
Julie was a 1970 graduate of Centennial High School. She went on to get her nursing degree at North Hennepin Community College. Much of her career was spent in long term care. She prided herself in providing competent and compassionate care while advocating for the elderly.
Julie was a loving mother and friend that raised her children to understand the value of family, strength, perseverance, and cleanliness. Julie’s greatest advice to her children was, you can do anything you put your mind to, rest if you must, but never give up. Julie cherished her grandchildren the most. She supported them in their academics, sports, and in everyday life. They know when they needed Grandma Julie, she was just a phone call away.
Julie enjoyed beautiful flowers and her annual spring trip to the nursery. She loved to cook and host, especially at the holidays. One of her greatest joys was giving to her family and friends. Julie put great thought into finding the most meaningful gifts and if it could be personalized, it was.
Julie will be missed deeply, but we will carry her memory in our heats.

I just can't say enough about the help we received in planning my husband's funeral at the Osseo Evans Nordby funeral home. It was a very difficult time and they were so caring, sensitive, helpful and very organized in making the funeral go smoothly. The funeral home in Osseo felt so welcoming and comfortable also. Tina was extremely helpful in guiding our family with planning the funeral and went out of her way in finding the right memorial folder for my husband. I would highly recommend them. Thank you all.
