Age 50, of Champlin, MN, passed away peacefully at home, September 17th 2020, with her family surrounding her. God took her home after a truly courageous five-year battle with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer.
Kari was born at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale MN, to Diane and Larry Masters. Kari grew up in Ham Lake, MN, and graduated from Blaine High-School. She went on to graduate from Anoka-Ramsey Community College with a nursing degree. She also was a flight attendant for many years with Northwest (Delta) airlines.
Nothing meant more to Kari than family. Her beloved husband Kevin, whom she referred to as her rock. Her children Jake and Sophie were her greatest joy, and she worked relentlessly to build a loving home and life for them.
Kari enjoyed and loved so much in life. Kari had a great love of dancing, cheer leading, singing and seeing the world as a flight attendant. Kari also enjoyed trips to Vegas and as well as tropical destinations with her family and friends. Kari loved family gatherings at any occasion and especially on special holidays.
Kari was generous, caring and a beautiful soul. This world's loss is Heaven's gain.
Kari is survived by Kevin, her loving husband of 18 years, her precious children, Jake and Sophie, her parents, Lawrence and Diane Masters, her Mother and Father in-law, Ronald and Nicole Torgerson; dear brothers, Jamison (Becky) and Ryan (Tina), sister in-law, Cindy Powell (John), and cherished nieces and nephews Alexa, Noah and Maya Masters, Jonah and Rebecca Powell She also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network www.pancan.org.
I highly recommend the team at Evans Nordby. This past weekend, they assisted as we buried my mom. Twelve years ago, they assisted as we buried my dad. Brittney and the staff are so comforting, easy to work with and compassionate. They make every decision simple, and the whole process as painless as possible. I am so happy that we chose this funeral home, and encourage you to consider using them in your time of need.
