Lorraine Genevieve (Johnson) Clinton, age 94, of Brooklyn Center.
Lorraine was born August 13, 1928 to Oscar and Gida Johnson at St. Andrew’s Hospital in Southeast Minneapolis. She was the youngest of three children and admired her older brother Harry and her sister Bernice.
She graduated Roosevelt High School in 1947. After graduating she worked at Bakers and Donaldson’s before starting at Northwestern Bell Phone Company where she worked for 35 years until she retired in 1985.
While working at the Phone Company, Lorraine was introduced by a co-worker to her husband William “Bill” in 1955. A few short months later, they married on October 8, 1955.
In 1960, they welcomed their first child, Judith and in 1962 their son, David.
Lorraine was blessed with three grandchildren, Stephen (Chelsea) Greene, Michael Greene and Caitlin (Patrick) Russell and great grandchildren, Reid and Lennon.
She provided a loving home, she enjoyed golfing, baking, cooking, reading and spending time with her loved ones.
Family meant the world to Lorraine. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Gida Johnson; husband, William "Bill" Clinton; son, David W. Clinton; brother, Harry R. (Ione) Johnson; and sister, Bernice (Bill) Specht.
Survived by daughter, Judith Greene; grandsons, Stephen (Chelsea) Greene and Michael Greene; granddaughter, Caitlin (Patrick) Russell; and great grandchildren, Reid and Lennon.
Funeral Service 11 AM Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, 5929 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment Crystal Lake Cemetery, Minneapolis.
