Bicanich, Louann Merle (Bakken)
Aged 92, of Brooklyn Center. Peacefully entered heaven, January 24, 2021. Born November 2, 1928 to Edwin and Emma Bakken, Middle River, MN. Preceded by husband, William; infant children, Keith Allen and Mary Lou; and sisters, Fay and Lael. Survived by children, Barry (Diane), Laurie (Scott) Gauer, Kathy (Philip) Bernards; grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew (Gloria), Rebecca, Angela (Andrew), Jacqueline (Bryan), Samuel, Jackson, Wilson; great-grandchildren, Camilo and Christopher; and numerous nieces and nephews. We keep you in our hearts Grandma Lou. Private services due to Covid precautions on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Hope Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them. They reached out to help every step of the way—from planning the Celebration of Life service, the service itself, and after care contact. Brittney was the person I primarily worked with. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, organized, and had great communication skills, which greatly helped in reducing my stress level. I plan to contact Evans-Nordby soon to pre-plan my own final arrangements.
