Felling, Lucille “Lucy” age 96, of Maple Grove, passed away peacefully on October 15. Lucy was born & raised on a farm in Sauk Centre, MN with her dad where she ran the horses & hard work was plentiful. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Bernard; infant son, Duane; parents, Peter & Mary; & brother, Julian Orth. Survived by children, Dennis (Veronica), Richard (Cheryl) & Kathleen Felling; grandchildren, Venelli, Isadora & Ella; great-grandchild, Venelli; siblings, Irene (Tony) Felling & Roland Orth; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Pohl, Bernyce Anderson & Virginia Theilen; & many other relatives & friends. In her 20’s she worked as a switchboard operator at the Sauk Centre Girls Boarding school. Lucy worked for Reo Tool & Dye for 25 years as a press operator before retiring. In retirement, she worked as a Para with emphasis in special education. She loved to bake, garden, embroider, spend time with her grandchildren, shop & travel with family & friends. She was an avid dog lover with an affection for American Eskimos, owning at least 6 in her lifetime. Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them. They reached out to help every step of the way—from planning the Celebration of Life service, the service itself, and after care contact. Brittney was the person I primarily worked with. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, organized, and had great communication skills, which greatly helped in reducing my stress level. I plan to contact Evans-Nordby soon to pre-plan my own final arrangements.
