Obituary for Lynn Charles "Butch" Eaton

Lynn Charles "Butch" Eaton, age 79, of Champlin, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2022.

Preceded in death by wife, Mary; parents Leo and Josephine; and brother, Dave.

Survived by children, Mark (Laurie), Bob (Tamara), and Angela; grandchildren, Mary Kate, Davis, Caroline, and Amelia; brothers, Jim (Pat) and Tim (Sandy); sister, Joan Butler; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Butch was a committed husband, father and a devout Catholic. He graduated from DeLaSalle High School in 1961 and spent most of his working career in computer programming with Horner Waldorf, Target, and MTS Systems. In his free time, he was a skilled woodworker, enjoyed cooking, and was an avid outdoorsman taking family camping trips all over the country, hunting, fishing, and doing projects in the yard. Butch retired to his lake home on Lake Mary in Emily, MN. In his retirement years he enjoyed playing golf, doing volunteer work with the St. Phillip’s Disaster Relief organization and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Most of all, he enjoyed the “lake life” and the peace and serenity of the north woods.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Friday, October 28, 2022, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9100 93rd Ave. N., Brooklyn Park, with visitation 1 hour prior to mass at church. Interment St. Vincent's Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at the Osseo Community Center 415 Central Ave., Osseo MN 55369.

Memorials preferred to St. Philip's Disaster Relief at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 6180 Hwy. 65, Fridley, MN 55432.
