Welinski, Marlene J. “Marre” Age 88 of Brooklyn Park and Anoka, passed away August 3, 2022. Preceded in death by parents Michael Kedrowski and Violet Kedrowski (Burggraff); stepfather Butch Burggraff; brother, Robert Kedrowski; sisters, Shirley Nordberg, Rosemary “Honey” Haugh, Ione Orris, Bernadine “Bernie” Kmitch; and husband, Leonard “Lenny” Welinski. Marre was born in St. Cloud on August 18, 1933. She graduated from Little Falls High School in 1951, where she was the Homecoming Queen. On April 8, 1953 Marre and Lenny, the love of her life, were married and they spent 63 wonderful years together. Marre worked at Munsingwear, JC Penney and New Look Refinishing Studio, and she volunteered at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, weekend get-togethers with her sisters, crafting, woodcarving, sewing, gardening, holidays, cooking and entertaining, being a mom and grandma, and she loved spending special time and making memories with her family the most. Marre was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be missed by all. Survived by sons, Paul (Linda) Welinski and Joel (Wendy) Welinski; daughter, Jane (Steve) Rose; grandchildren, Eric (Therasa) Welinski, Sara Brown, Scott (April) Welinski, Kara (Brent) Reinhard, Kristin (Dan) Wexler, and Rayni Pemble (Brian Karg); great-grandchildren, Riley, Carter, Peyton, Levi, Harrison, Isaac and Tanner; sister, Mickey (Leroy) Skwira; brother-in-law, Bernard “Spud” Welinski; and many other relatives and friends. Special thank you to each of Marre’s wonderful caretakers at Allina Hospice and River Oaks of Anoka/Benedictine Assisted Living. Funeral service at 11AM Tuesday September 6, 2022 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 7025 Halifax Avenue N, Brooklyn Center, with visitation 1 hour prior. Memorials preferred to the donor’s choice.
