Martin (Harry) White, age 80, of Champlin passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021. He was born March 21,1941 in Laihia, Finland. At the age of 8 his family arrived in the United States and settled in Northern Minnesota. He graduated from Aurora MN in 1961. He attended Dunwoody Technical school and made his career as a machinist in the Twin Cities area. He served in the US Army from 1963-1965. On August 23, 1969, he married Karen J Miller, and they continued to reside in the Twin Cities area. Harry loved the outdoors, especially fishing and enjoyed taking trips up the North Shore. Another passion of his was painting nature’s beauty on canvas and has sold some of his paintings.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Karen Maule. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Karen, and brothers, Paavo Kivisto and Steve White and also many nieces and nephews. Visitation from 10:30-1PM Saturday, June 19, at Evans Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd Street NE, Osseo, MN 55369. Interment at Sunrise Cemetery in Hermantown, MN on June 29, 2021 at 11AM.
