Obituary for Mary Nelson

Mary Alice (Clark) Nelson, 65, died of sudden cardiac arrest on February 28, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents Glenn & Marjorie Clark of Swea City, Iowa Mary was a social worker for many years working with developmentally disabled persons. She will be remembered as one who chose to be kind and helpful to all who came into contact with her She is survived by her loving husband Robert and three children, David of the Twin Cities, Roxanne of Duluth, MN, and Frank (Christine) of the Twin Cities, her siblings Betty Holty, Spring Grove, MN, Maxine (Timothy) Ashley of Onalaska, WI, William (Diane) Clark of Tyler, MN, and John (Dawn) Clark of Swea City, IA. Along with many other family members and a myriad of friends.

A visitation will be held at the Evans Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd St., NE, Osseo, from 6-8 pm on Monday, March 5, 2018. A service celebrating Mary’s life will be held at Judson Memorial Baptist Church, 4101 Harriet Avenue, So., Minneapolis, at 10 am on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, preceded by a visitation at the church from 9 am until the time of the service. A reception with light refreshments will be held at the church after the service. Interment will be in Maple Knoll Cemetery, Maple Grove, following the reception.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them.
