Michael Edward Gallery was born on October 24, 1945, in Sparta Wisconsin, to parents Edward and Olive Gallery.
Mike was a family man--a devoted husband, married to the love of his life, Annette, just shy of 51 years. He was a great dad and a loving grandpa. After high school, Mike joined the U.S. Navy in which he proudly served. Upon his return from the Navy, he joined his father, and later brother, cousins, and friends, as an ironworker in Local 512, working on many buildings and bridges over the years.
Mike married his true love Annette on February 7, 1970; they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. Mike and Annette had two children, Patricia and Terry, and two grandchildren, Troy and Erika. Mike and Annette loved to travel and visited 37 states in their adventures.
Mike was many things to many people—a good neighbor, a great storyteller, and a wonderful friend to his son-in-law Brian. He was ready and willing to help his family, friends, and neighbors whenever needed. He enjoyed his projects and watching Western movies; Mike was always smiling and truly enjoyed life! He sadly left this world to be with his wife whom he missed so very much on March 13, 2021.
Mike is survived by his daughters Patricia Durham and Terry (Brian) Verness, grandchildren Troy Gallery and Erika Durham, brother Tim (Cheryl) Gallery, many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Due to COVID, a celebration of Mike’s life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the American Cancer Society
Our son recently passed away and of course you never expect to have to deal with this for your children so my wife and I were not only devastated but didn’t know what to do or where to turn next. Evans-Nordby was recommended to us by our Priest and I’m so glad he did. From the moment I talked to Tina on the phone I could tell we were in good hands as she took care of every detail. We met with her the next day and she went through all the aspects of what we were to expect in the coming days, weeks, then months ahead. Every employee we had contact with at Evans-Nordby was kind, compassionate and extremely professional. Thanks Tina and to all at Evans-Nordby for making an unbearable experience at least tolerable.
