Michael Ellestad, 73, of Brooklyn Park passed away March 19th at Suite Living of Brooklyn Park.
Mike was born October 3rd, 1947 in Spring Grove, MN to Leonard and Mabel Ellestad. He graduated from Logan High School in La Crosse with aspirations of becoming a genius. After attending the University of Minnesota, he pursued a career as a software engineer.
Mike spent his free time enjoying his many hobbies including reading, woodworking, beer making, operating his ham radio and working on various electronics. He enjoyed visiting his land in Tamarack where he could fish and hunt and try his hand at hobby farming.
Survived by wife of 46 years, Sally; daughter Jill; granddaughter Ellea; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Yvonne Bartz, and sister Louetta Ellingson.
Mike will be buried at Trinity Cemetery in Spring Grove, MN. A celebration of life will be held in lieu of a service.
