Nancy J. (Lewis) Wallin, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2018.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Carroll Wallin, and their daughters Jennifer (Jason) Bray of Athens, GA, and Tammy (Ryan Furness) Wallin of Richfield, MN. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren, Daisy, Hazel, Stella, and Lyle Bray of Athens and Ava Noack of Richfield.
She is also survived by her siblings Donna Jean Lewis of Friendswood, TX; Karen Morris of Little Elm, TX; Janet (Chuck) Iverson of Mesquite, NV; Marlene Heckenlaible of St. Francis, MN; Bob (Connie Mitchell) Lewis of Tower, MN; Mary (Brian) Sadler of Woonsocket, SD. Her parents, Lyle and Anna Mary Lewis of Hoyt Lakes, MN, preceded her in death.
Nancy was widely known for her creative efforts, which ranged from sewing and gardening to scrapbooking and paper crafts. She loved the outdoors and had a great appreciation for flowers, birds, and beautiful skies. She enjoyed baking cookies and shared that love with her children and grandchildren, who brought her so much joy. She loved to encourage their creative pursuits, equipping each of them to explore and develop their talents. She treasured every hand-made gift or artwork and wanted to see every performance and sample every edible creation. She just loved being Grandma.
Most of her professional life was spent in the insurance industry, where she was recognized as a hardworking and helpful colleague and friend. She was part of a large group who met regularly for crafting, dinner, and companionship, and who loved her for her kindness and generosity.
A visitation will be held at the Evans Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, from 2-6 pm on Sunday, March 11, 2018. A memorial service will be held at Brooklyn United Methodist Church, 7200 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, at 11 am on Monday, March 12, 2018, preceded by a visitation at the church from 10 am until the time of the service. Interment will be at Mound Cemetery, Brooklyn Center, followed by a luncheon reception at the church.

I just can't say enough about the help we received in planning my husband's funeral at the Osseo Evans Nordby funeral home. It was a very difficult time and they were so caring, sensitive, helpful and very organized in making the funeral go smoothly. The funeral home in Osseo felt so welcoming and comfortable also.
