Neil Jerome Robinson, 70, died March 9, 2019 in his home with his family by his side, after a long battle with cancer.
On October 20, 1948, Neil was born, in St. Croix Falls, MN, and grew up in Shafer, MN. He graduated from Taylors Falls High School, then attended Dunwoody, and worked as a draftsman specializing in the precast concrete.
Time with his family and friends was very important to Neil and he believed loyalty to family was sacred. He always said that you take care of your family first. He enjoyed fishing, sportsman activities, playing cribbage with his children and friends, and playingvideo games with his son. Every moment he spent with family was special and he had quite the sense of humor, though he was a very stoic man. Honesty, compassion, and generosity were all evidence of his strong faith in the Lord, and he believed the words ofSt. Paul, who expressed that Christians should “Make it their ambition to live a quiet life.” All of his heart was poured into the people he loved, striving to make sure that those around him experienced a better life than he did, and they were taken care of. His generosity extended to strangers, whom he was always ready to meet with a helping hand.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathie, father and mother, Harold and Marion Robinson, brother Harold (Bud) Robinson, and sister Charlotte Herberg.
Neil is survived by his wife, Cheryl, daughters Gina (Jeff) Wraspir, Jenny (Mark) Hetland, son, Jonathan Robinson, and grandchildren Nicole Bake, Kathryn Wraspir, Emily Wraspir, and Carter Bake.
Neil will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who are very blessed to have known him and will never stop loving him. Though he may be gone, he will live through every life he touched.

These people are wonderful. They went over and above in every possible way to help us with funeral arrangements, the visitation, service and burial, despite the fact that we had a limited budget. They were patient, kind, and treated us like family. This is a funeral home you can trust. Thank you, Evans-Nordby.
