Alice Hisaye (Nishimura) Osada, 96, Brooklyn Park, passed peacefully at home on June 5.
Born on April 29, 1928, Alice lived through a special time in history as her family was placed in an interment camp in Tule Lake, CA. After the war, her family relocated to MN. Alice completed High School at North High. She worked a few jobs before she met back up with the love of her life and married in November, 1949.
Many knew her as the “roadrunner” due to her speed around the golf course and the Community Center doing laps. She was also a magnet connecting with people and becoming a friend to all. Alice lived a full life with passion, energy and heart. Family was everything.
Alice is survived by her loving husband of 74 years/7 months Takeshi; children, Ann (Gary) Monson, Mike Osada, Scott (Leann) Osada, Kim O’Quinn, Lynne (Todd) Delveaux; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many loving extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Twin Cities Buddhist Association or Breast Cancer Susan G Komen.

These people are wonderful. They went over and above in every possible way to help us with funeral arrangements, the visitation, service and burial, despite the fact that we had a limited budget. They were patient, kind, and treated us like family. This is a funeral home you can trust. Thank you, Evans-Nordby.
