Pat was born on August 22, 1939 in Lansing, Minnesota, to Thelma and Leonard Miller. Pat grew up in Austin, Minnesota and graduated from Austin High School.
Pat married the love of her life, David, on October 4, 1958. Pat dearly loved her children, Scott and Jon, and her grandchildren, Sarah, Megan, Tucker, and Maddie who had many interesting adventures with grandma. She was also very involved with her nieces and nephews, and their children, and was lovingly known by many as “Aunt Patty.” Pat was very social and had many life-long friends and was quick to make new friends.
Pat was active in her community along-side her husband. She coached cub league baseball when it was not typical for women to be coaches and supported her husband and sons through many years of Boy Scouts. Pat was a long-time member of St. Louis Park Lions Club serving in many leadership roles, organizing the annual Holiday Eve, ringing bells for the Salvation Army and was always a smiling face at the annual Lions Pancake Breakfast. Pat loved her family, shopping, trips to Lake Superior, and was seldom seen without a plain donut and a diet coke.
Pat was recently preceded in death by her husband, Dave, and after 61 years of marriage, they are together again. Pat will be dearly missed by her family, including brother Raymond (Patty) Swain and sister Diane Lenz, and everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
Services pending.
Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them. They reached out to help every step of the way—from planning the Celebration of Life service, the service itself, and after care contact. Brittney was the person I primarily worked with. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, organized, and had great communication skills, which greatly helped in reducing my stress level. I plan to contact Evans-Nordby soon to pre-plan my own final arrangements.
