Patricia was born near Brainerd, MN to Earl and Edith (Haas) Tarbell. She was one of eight children raised in rural Minnesota, later moving to, and settling in North Dakota. Pat graduated from Jamestown High School and married William Wright in 1952 at the age of 17. While raising four children, Pat worked in banking and attended night school to achieve a degree in financial management. After 27 years working for the Federal National Mortgage Association, Pat retired. Pat was well traveled and cultured. She toured Greece, Italy, Costa Rica and more. Her happy place was any beach where she could read and listen to the waves. Pat lived in many places throughout her 87 years, including Jamestown and Mandan, ND, Falls Church, VA, Washington DC, Albuquerque, NM, Southampton, NJ, and lastly the Minneapolis, MN area. Pat was strong willed, independent, clever, well-read, a global traveler, and a wonderful cook. She was a woman of strong faith who read her Bible daily. Pat adored her four-legged friend George, who was her constant companion for the past nine years. Pats last four years were spent at Maranatha Senior Living, where she made many dear friends. She is and will always be remembered and much beloved by her family. She is survived by her four children, Rebecca (the late David) Kennedy, Maple Grove, MN, Duncan (Liz), Moorestown, NJ, William (Anne), Falls Church, VA, and Timothy, Denver, CO.; eight grandchildren, Earl Kennedy, Jonathan Kennedy, Sarah (Kennedy) Swier, Anne (Kennedy) Harvey, Bradley Wright, Nicole (Wright) Patrick, Katharine Wright, Jacob Wright; and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Joyce Jensen and Carol Ost, and brothers Gerald and David Tarbell. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Edith M. & Earl R. Tarbell, her former husband William I. Wright, her siblings Myron Tarbell, Warren Tarbell, and Ardelle Walker, and her son-in-law David Kennedy. These people are wonderful. They went over and above in every possible way to help us with funeral arrangements, the visitation, service and burial, despite the fact that we had a limited budget. They were patient, kind, and treated us like family. This is a funeral home you can trust. Thank you, Evans-Nordby.
