Obituary for Penny Schmahl

Penny Marie Schmahl (School) was born on November 23, 1946, she was the daughter of Howard School and Evelyn School (Rackow).

Penny received her education in Northfield, Minnesota and was a graduate of the Northfield Junior Senior High School class of 1964. Penny then furthered her education at Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota. Penny worked at many jobs most notably starting in 1985, where she worked at Hennepin County as an accountant for 32 years.

Penny enjoyed, baseball, photography, animals, going to the movies, watching her grandchildren play sports, sewing and knitting gifts for her loved ones, and the Minnesota Twins. She especially cherished the time spent with her family, many friends, and her pets.

Penny passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 in her home in Maple Grove, Minnesota at the age of 77 years, 6 months, and 7 days.

Penny is survived by her Sibling: David School; Children: Jesse Jacobs, Chris (and Kelli) Jacobs, Jerome Jr. Jacobs, Amy Schmahl, and Erin Schmahl;

Grandchildren: Brandon Schmahl, Jordon (and Casey) Wollin, Mathias Schmahl, Faith (and Anthony Rice) Schug, and Isabella Schmahl;

Great Grandchildren: Claire Kroells, Kammy Wollin, Ava Kroells, Kyler Wollin, and Parker Rice; Janet Schug, other relatives and many friends.

Penny is preceded in death by her parents, Howard School and Evelyn School (Rackow), Grandparents, Uncles & Aunts.

Gathering of Family & Friends on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 1-3PM with a Prayer Service at 3PM at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd Street NE, Osseo, MN 55369.
