Age 85, beloved Wife, Mother, and Sister, was called to her eternal resting place on April 9, 2020.
She entered this world on July 5, 1934, in Dayton, MN.
Preceded in death by her infant son; parents, Frank and Priscilla Holland; brother, Robert Holland; and step-father Louis Arenz.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Howard Goth; daughters, Judy (Tom), Janel (Mike), Jennifer (Jon); sons, Jim (Dorothy) and John (Jean); sister, Colleen Zopfi; brother, Lou Arenz; grandchildren, Joe, Tim, Jarad, Conrad, Robin, Rein; and great-granddaughter Amya.
Rita loved her family, helped care for her grandchildren, and as a member of the parish at St. Vincent de Paul she volunteered in the school and devoted herself as an adorer for Perpetual Adoration.
Despite her 67-year battle with MS she was a woman of great strength who never lost her faith in God. “Frail I seem, but firm I am.” is a quote from her senior year of high school that describes her perfectly. She had a wonderful sense of humor, cherished her time spent with others, and enjoyed seeing her grandchildren grow up.
The family would like to thank the care givers at Interim Hospice and The Harbors in Fridley.
A funeral mass and lunch to follow will be held on July 9th, 2020 at 10:30am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park, MN.
All memorials can be donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Upper Midwest Chapter..

I highly recommend the team at Evans Nordby. This past weekend, they assisted as we buried my mom. Twelve years ago, they assisted as we buried my dad. Brittney and the staff are so comforting, easy to work with and compassionate. They make every decision simple, and the whole process as painless as possible. I am so happy that we chose this funeral home, and encourage you to consider using them in your time of need.
