His remains will be laid to rest with full Military Honors at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery Columbarium,7601 34th Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota following his Memorial Service.

As we all have but one life to spend, and insofar as it can have any meaning, Mr. Bursch found it in the service of comrades-in-arms and America’s youth. Mr. Bursch served with distinction as a Marine during the 1950s. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as friends and family will attest. Mr. Bursch was an active and contributing member of the Marine Corps League in Prescott, Arizona, where he had resided for many years. In 2001, Mr. Bursch started a Young Marines Organization in Prescott, Arizona, The Central Arizona Young Marines, now known as the Granite Mountain Young Marines. The Young Marines is a national youth program for boys and girls, ages eight through high school, focused on leadership, citizenship through community service, self-discipline, and living a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

He further distinguished himself by his vigilance of serving by conducting visits and spending time with health-stricken comrades-in-arms at the Northern Arizona VA Hospital. He’d always consider their health, comfort, and happiness by providing his time and some of their favorites such as hamburgers, french fries, milkshakes, or other enjoyments they once knew. Further, he aided Veterans in their transportation needs and ran errands for those that were home-bound. He worked tirelessly contributing his time assisting the local Marine Corps League by working on the programs that brought in income for their supported local charities and Toys for Tots.

Donations to his memory can be made to the Young Marines Organization at www.youngmarines.com
