Rufina E. Jagielski, age 93 of Rogers, MN passed away April 21, 2024. Born January 28, 1931 in St. Nicholas, MN to William and Theresia (Schreiner) Theis. She was united in marriage to Sylvester F. Jagielski on April 24, 1952 and together they raised their family in NE Minneapolis before moving to Rogers, MN in 1991. Rufina worked as a waitress her whole life mostly with the Radisson Hotel in downtown Mpls. Prior to her retirement, she split her time between the Radisson South and Holiday Inn Metrodome locations as a banquet server.
Rufina had a kind and loving heart and her home was always a welcoming place for family gatherings. The love she showed her family was unwavering. She loved listening to her country music, cheering on the MN Twins, and watching her garden grow with anticipation of canning the harvest each fall. She enjoyed doing her daily Sudoku puzzle and always had a knitting or crochet project going to keep her hands busy.
Survivors include her children Mary, John (Kathy), Theresa (Bob), Sandy, and Marty (Stacey); 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lidwina Theis; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Sylvester; son-in-law, Fred; parents; 3 infant siblings; brothers: Stephen (Philomena), Roman (Barbara), Edwin (Adeline), Alfred, Alphonse (Alice), and Joseph (Frances) Theis; Sisters: Veronica (Donald) Kaeter, Monica (Lawrence) Huschle, and Marie (Ralph) Nistler; Sisters-In-law: Sr. Anna Mary Jagielski, Agatha (Jerome) Lauer, Cecelia Jagielski, Gertrude (Lawrence) Hennes, and Lorraine (Fred) Picard.
Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 21304 Church Ave, Rogers, MN with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment at St. Walburga’s Cemetery in Fletcher, MN.
