Sawyer James Krohnberg, 7, of Champlin, died Saturday, May 13th, 2023 at Children's Hospital St. Paul.
He was born on October 5th, 2015, to Aaron and Erica (Monson) Krohnberg. Sawyer was in the first grade and attended Champlin Brooklyn Park Academy where he radiated joy and happiness with high fives in the hallways and showing off his latest dance moves for the other kids. He loved the silly songs from “Koo Koo Kanga Roo” as well as the movie “Toy Story”. When home Sawyer could be found playing doctor, bumper cars or pretend puppy with his sister Sybil. She sure loved her big brother and Sawyer loved her so much that he even let her do his makeup. They both loved dancing to their favorite songs. He loved traveling with his family in their motorhome and nothing topped the yearly road trip to the Wisconsin Dells where he’d spend the days driving go-carts and splashing at the water parks. Pizza, ice cream, french fries and Cheese Burgers were his favorite things to eat. Along with those favorites came overflowing mounds of ketchup. Sawyer was a beam of positivity that this world needed so badly and the days will never be the same without him.
He is survived by his parents, Aaron and Erica Krohnberg of Champlin; sister, Sybil Krohnberg; grandparents, Lyle and Sharon Krohnberg; Ron Jr. and Carrie Monson; aunts and uncles, Rachelle (Tony) Ohnstad, Lareasha (Uriah) Connors, Ron Monson III (Jazmin), Heidi Quam, and Holly Eisel (Shane); loving cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by uncle, Chad Quam.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them. They reached out to help every step of the way—from planning the Celebration of Life service, the service itself, and after care contact. Brittney was the person I primarily worked with. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, organized, and had great communication skills, which greatly helped in reducing my stress level. I plan to contact Evans-Nordby soon to pre-plan my own final arrangements.
