Obituary for Shirley E. Schiestl

Age 90, of Golden Valley, MN, born Nov 22, 1933, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 12, 2024.

Preceded in death by parents John and Ida Warren, husband Lee, brothers John “Jack” Warren and Harold “Wally” Warren, and sisters Eleanor LeDell, Joyce Luttinen, Lois O’Dovero, JoAnn Kivi and Mary Kivi. Survived by sister Susan Wiener and brother Robert “Bub” Warren.

Shirl, born in Highbridge, WI, loved time with family, staying at the caboose-cabin in WI and the lake-cabin in MN, playing scrabble and enjoying her Snow White collection.

Survived by: sons Randy (Barb) and Dale (Carol) and daughters Jan (Dan) Arbogast and Linda (John) Otto-Wilke. 10 grandchildren: Jen (Adam), Brent (Beth), Sarah (Chad), Jill (Dale), Jackie (Troy), Bryan (Mary), Joe, Brad (Ana), Alex (Mallory) and Max. 12 great grandchildren: Stella (14), Frank (11), Corinne (9), Evan (7), Roland (11), Ira (9), Nash (2), Axel (1), Bailey (9), Carly (7), Ella (7) and Blake (4).

Private graveside service at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

She will be greatly missed as mom, grandma and great-grandma, and will never be forgotten.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023.
