Sylvia Jane (Olson) Johnson was born July 30, 1955 in South Dakota and died May 18, 2017 in Minneapolis, MN.
Sylvia lived her life as a Baptized Christian. Sylvia was always looking for contentment. Her family and friends understood this need and knew no matter how far she would go she would always come home. Sylvia had a passion for jewelry and loved to share this passion with others.
Sylvia will be missed by her husband, Timothy Johnson; children, Regina (Brian) Castle and Edwin Gudis; grandchildren, Levi Molina, Elijah Molina, Zebediah Molina, and Alexander Castle. Sylvia will be further missed by her mother, Evelyn Olson; siblings, Carl (Malia) Olson, Theresa (Bill) Haines, Gale Olson, Jr., Alberta (John) Omanski, Renea Olson, and Penny Olson; 13 nieces & nephews and 17 great nieces & nephews: Loucinda (Sven) Bjorklund with Anders, Annika, and Haaken Bjorklund; Amanda (Josh) McDonald with Courtney, Elyzabeth, and Rebekah McDonald; Virgil Olson with Lavana, Etienne (Stevie), and Ezra Olson; Thomas, Thaddeus, Chrisitne, Theodore, and Terrence Haines; Alma, Martin, and Joelyn Osmanski; and many more aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Sylvia is welcomed to her final home by her father, Gale Olson, Sr.; paternal and maternal grandparents; aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Mary, Queen of Peace, St. Martin's Campus, 21304 Church Ave., Rogers. Visitation 4-8 PM Monday, May 22, 2017, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd St. NE, Osseo. Visitation also 1 hour prior to mass at church. Interment St. Martin’s Cemetery.

It is a place of compassion, sincerity, professionalism, and staff who go above and beyond their call of duty. Our family has sadly used both chapels over the past months.
