Thomas S. Kobayashi, age 75 of Maple Grove passed away Dec 21st. Tom was the son of Tom M and Mercedes (Heinz) Kobayashi. He was a Bloomington Kennedy High School graduate, a US Vietnam Marine Corp Veteran serving 1967-1969 and a 25 year retiree of Ford Motor Company.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, granddaughter Ruby K. Keogh, mother in law Lois M. Seidenstricker and his beloved dog Teddy (Big Fat Boy).
He is survived by his wife Diane of 54 years, 3 children Stephanie (Matthew) Cain, Stacie Keogh, and Thomas (Kelly) Kobayashi, 8 grandchildren Maxwell, Claire, Wyatt, Kylie, Cameron, Dylan, Abby, Finley, great granddaughter Elora, sister Terry (Rick) Klemesrud and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, cribbage, pulltabs, watching golf and football and napping. He loved old movies and was a trivia expert on that subject. He also had an endless supply of dad/grandpa jokes he used to entertain everyone.
A Celebration of Life will be held on a date to be determined with final internment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery .
His family would like to express a special thank you to the Oncology Department at VA Minneapolis Medical Center for taking wonderful care of our husband and father over the last 2 years.
